Jun Hong Heng is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Crescent Cove Advisors LP. He established the firm in 2016 in San Francisco and oversees all aspects of the firm’s activities. Mr. Heng serves as board member and board observer of Crescent Cove portfolio companies including Forterra, Tekever and Lambda Labs. He also serves as board member of ECARX. Prior to founding Crescent Cove, Mr. Heng focused on direct lending, growth capital solutions and in multi strategy public market investing at Myriad Asset Management and Argyle Street Management. He began his career at Bear, Stearns and Co. in 2005. Mr. Heng is an alumnus of the University of Michigan Business School and serves as a member of San Francisco Symphony’s Board of Governors.

Steve Michau is a Managing Director at Crescent Cove and is involved in the firm’s originations activities. Prior to Crescent Cove, he held positions at Espresso Capital and Ares Management, where was involved in originating, underwriting, and managing credit transactions, particularly in the technology and healthcare sectors. His earlier roles include director positions at BlueCrest Capital Finance and Huron Consulting Group, and a long tenure at GE Commercial Finance, where he held several risk management roles. Steve holds an MBA in Finance from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois.

Zane Hwang is an Executive Director at Crescent Cove and is involved in the firm’s credit diligence/origination activities. Prior to Crescent Cove, he held positions in Wells Fargo’s Technology Banking Group as a Credit Team Manager and a Relationship Manager, where he was involved in originating, underwriting, and managing a credit portfolio, in the technology sector. Zane holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston and a BA in Economics from the University of Texas.

Todd Lee is General Counsel at Crescent Cove and handles the firm’s legal and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Crescent Cove, Todd was Assistant General Counsel at Matthews International Capital Management, where he was primary counsel to the Matthews Asia Funds, a family of US mutual funds. Previously, Todd also served as Senior Counsel at SVB Financial Group, where he advised the investment adviser and broker-dealer subsidiaries. Todd received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School.

Alida Fong has six years of experience in alternative investments. Prior to Crescent Cove, she worked at Top Tier Capital Partners and Driehaus Capital Management, a boutique investment adviser managing equity and multi-asset alternative strategies. She received her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Samuel Tarasow has four years of experience in alternative investments. Prior to Crescent Cove, he worked at MG Stover, LLC and Kolaboration Ventures Corporation. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA in Accounting and Finance.

Sunny Gill is the Talent and Culture Lead at Crescent Cove Advisors, where he drives initiatives to cultivate a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive workplace. He partners with senior leadership to support talent acquisition, employee development, and the integration of human capital strategies across the firm. Sunny brings over 10 years of HR experience in financial services and technology, including leadership roles at ironSource and Top Tier Capital Partners. He holds an MBA from Medaille University and a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources Management from California State University, Chico.

K.V’s investment focus included management of the private equity and special situations portfolio, while leading the firm’s investment efforts into sovereign debt, infrastructure lending and distressed secondary private equity transactions. Previously, he was a partner at Thomas Weisel Partners, where he spearheaded the firm’s asset management and research operations in Asia and held a senior role in their domestic equity business. K.V. holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary.

Paul Gerard has eleven years of experience in alternative investments. Prior to Crescent Cove, he worked at White Oak Global Advisors and Blackrock. Mr. Gerard graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in International Studies.

Jennifer Kesseler has over 20 years of experience in operations. Prior to Crescent Cove Advisors, Jen worked at RSL Management supporting Ambassador Ronald S. Lauder and at SLATE Art, managing fine art programs for a global social media company and liaising with project stakeholders. In addition to her business background, Jennifer has an expertise in global contemporary art practices and fine art trends. Jennifer was a member of the City of Oakland’s Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) working with staff to develop program policies and proposals for public art in Oakland. Jennifer received her MA in Curatorial Practice from the California College of the Arts (CCA) and a BA in Anthropology from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB).
